A Week Passed By

So I dont know if it was real or just my mind playing tricks on me, but I saw you last night. I saw you walking around, but we didnt speak. I wish we spoke, because I miss you so much, but thats ok. All that matters is that your fine and seeing you is better than nothing. Then after I saw you, I heard what sounded like your type writer. I didnt know where the sound was coming from or if it was really your typewriter, but it surely is better than nothing. Im not gonna lie, it sort of scared me, but at least it reassured me that your still around. So thank you.

In Remembrance of You

To My Dearest Lolo,

Thank you for being the strong, loving, funny, hard working, dream chasing person that you are. No longer do you need to be here on earth, because a certain lady was missing you for too long and you were missing her as well. We as your family are not sadden by you heading home, but instead happy for that you and Lola are together once again. May both you and Lola continue to watch over us, protect us, and keep us at a bond that will never be broken.

Forever your legacy and your name will continue to be known by future generations and will never be forgotten. And so, it will be remembered that this is not a goodbye, but a hello just like how you said in the video and we'll see each other soon.

Love,
Your Kids, Grandkids, & Great Grandkids

Special Thanks

First and foremost, I wanna say THANK YOU to everyone that came out to my graduation dinner tonight. Also, I wanna say thank you to Ron and Celine, Supastar, my cousins, my titas and titos, to those who couldnt make it out and who live out of town, but still sent out their best wishes, my close friends, my bestfriend Ronald, my bestfriend Laurene for graduating too, my girlfriend Kristine, and of course my sister, dad, and mom. Thank you for the great love and support.

As I finally realize that I just graduated, I am just taking it all in and enjoying that its all done, that all that hard work paid off, and that another chapter is finished and a new one begins. So now that its all said and done, I plan to take my talents to South Beach next year. LOL sike! Everyone has asked me ever since I finished on what my plans are and what I want to do. In all honesty, I do not quite really know what my plans are. The only thing I know is that with all the support I have, the knowledge I have obtained, experiences I've been through, and life long lessons I have heard, that sky's the limit for my future endeavors. For now I'll enjoy my little break and then back to putting in the work.

(Tommy Lasorda snippet from graduation. Definitely will remember this speech.)

RIP MACHO MAN

Thank you Macho Man Randy Savage. Thank you for introducing me to wrestling, thank you for teaching me those off the top rope wrestling moves that I would use on my cousins and friends, thank you for being what your name resembles; Macho Man, thank you for your career. RIP

I'm Finna Talk About My Mama

Happy Mother's Day to my Mom & Lola!

So if you look up in the dictionary the meaning of mother, all you get is the female parent. What they fail to do and define is the hard work, the 9-5 and 5-9 job they do for society and for the family, the power of healing to any boo-boo with just a kiss, the never ending love they show, and so much more. So thank you Mom and thank you Lola.

(wish I still had the version I did for my mom on her 50th birthday)

Family Weekend Pt. 2

Here is the other pictures I took from Seattle. I wont post the rest of it, because it will eat up the rest of my blog memory, so I'll just post up some of my favorites.

I want to thank my family from Seattle for the hospitality and I want to thank the rest of my family from SF and LV for coming up and making it a great weekend. It was great to see a change of scenery (literally so much green) and see another part of the world or at least the United States that I will actually remember. I say that because throughout my life so far, I have never been able to travel and get at least a good enough experience to say that I will remember it for years to come. Hopefully, I get more opportunities to really experience more of the world and not just my comfort of So Cal. mental note: I wonder if I have family in Hawaii and New York.

(Sister, Lolo, and I. 98 years and still running!)
(My nephew Nathan aka Nate Dogg)
 (My nephew Max aka Max-A-Million)
(My Nephew Trey aka Trey Songz)
(lol I dunno. My nephews and my niece Taizja)
 (crazy kids!)
 (quality time with their Lolo)
(Bruce Lee and Brandon Lee's grave site)

(thats a whole mess of ABC gum!)
(Seattle still miss their Sonics. Durant will always be a Sonic and never a Thunder!)

(Just acting like a bunch of tourists)
 (Seattle Space Needle)

(damn song is addicting)

Family Weekend

I know everytime I post something, I always make some type of an excuse as to why its been so long as to why I have not posted. So this time around, my excuse is due to school, graduation stuff, and midterms. Anyways... over the weekend, I left for Seattle to spend time with my family and to see my Lolo. Its been awhile since I've seen most of them, so in honor of my Lolo's 98th birthday, my cousins and I felt that this was a great time to have some family time. Overall, I had an awesome time and I have a whole bunch of stories, but unfortunately if I spoke about my whole trip and what I did, then it would turn into a mini-novel.

Your in luck because I'll post a few random pictures since I have time to kill.

SD Bound

Yesterday Kristine and I wanted to make a trip to SD. It was kinda like since we werent able to go to Vegas like how a lot of people did, then SD was our trip away from home. We stopped by Phil's BBQ, we did a little shopping, and we ended the day with Extraordinary Desserts, but I think the most relaxing part was when we headed to this beautiful scenery spot. Im pretty sure a lot of people from SD know where this place is, but I like to keep this a secret from everyone else. It is just so amazing how people who live next to this spot, get to see this every single day. Literally, they can just open the window and see the ocean, feel the cool breeze, and enjoy the sounds of the waves. Thats why I love So. Cal!

Happy Birthday pt. 2

After dinner, Kristine wanted to take pictures (like always), so I put together this ghetto background and shot some photos. There's a lot more pictures, but I gotta get Kristine's approval before posting them up.

(This song is addicting!)

Happy Birthday Pt. 1

Once again happy birthday to my girlfriend Kristine! Since majority of California left for Vegas, Huntington Beach seemed relaxing and peaceful like the sunset view. I planned to take Kristine to a nice restaurant, with a nice view, with good ambience, not noisy, and with none of that expensive artsy fartsy food. Luckily, I was able to find this restaurant called Duke's, which had everything I hoped for. Though it was a bit pricey, it was definitely worth every penny of making Kristine's birthday a good one. Oh and...the Hula Pie, bombdotcom!

Oh and I almost forgot, I gotta send a special thanks to Extraordinary Confections for hooking it up with the hello kitty birthday cake. Check them out on facebook, support them, and get some delicious goodies from them. Im good friends with them and im wishing them all the success in the world.

3-7-11

Tried out Flappy Jacks yesterday with Kristine and fuh I was full after just eating the side order of hash browns and eggs. Good thing I didnt order the porkchop and hashbrowns with the side of bacon and pancakes. I swear all that food would of fed a whole family. Overall, it was a good place to eat. They have a lot of portions, a lot of selections, and you'll definitely end up in a food coma. I swear the rest of the day I was literally sleep walking.

Wish I could of been sleeping all day just like Bully. But I probably shouldnt have let him rest, because later in the day, he was going crazy. He was jumping over the barrier, he was running down the hallway like a marathon, and he was going coo-coo tryna think he could wrestle Booger.

Anyways, he got a brand new tag and he feels well situated at home.

"mmmmm...I'm legendary anchor man, Ron Burgundy, sitting in my brand new Aqua Jet 9000
enjoying, well, my usual meal of steak, waffles, french fries, and of course scotch. Now, if you dont think this song is the greatest song ever, I will fight you, that is no lie."

happy birthday

Got a little bored and decided to post. I know its a bad way to start off a post, but it has somewhat of a happy ending. So I realized that today was Shaq's birthday and it inspired me to put in some thoughts about the big man. Its a bit weird because I thought of an analogy that compares Shaq to the movie 500 days of Summer or I guess the character of Summer. So Shaq in his early days of Orland and LA are like the good times you remember him. You and him both had a great relationship and he was a spark to your life as a fan. I mean how can you not love this guy as an athlete back in the day. He was a dominant force inside the paint and knocking people down and just breaking rims. Then all of sudden there becomes some separation amongst one another and even after trying to go for it one more time, things end up splitting apart. From his side, hes happy and finds someone else and wins, but on the other side, you go through a slump and think the world has ended. Eventually, you get back on your feet and win without him back-to-back. You find a new love and a better relationship and on his end, he sees a decline and starts trying to chase back the happiness he had in the past by going from relationship to relationship (not like the actual ending of the movie, but im sure it would of ended like this if you saw Summer's viewpoint).

I remember starting to love basketball around 3rd grade, so about 1995. I remember my dad asking me who my favorite player was, and I automatically said it was Nick Van Exel. I remember watching him just shooting 3 after 3 after 3. and from that point on, I was a Laker fan. Then 1996, we bring in Shaq Diesel and we get a young man by the name of Kobe Bryant, then all of sudden we 3-peat. Though it didnt happen instantly, I still wish it had. I still wish we could of gotten Phil Jackson earlier with the combo of Nick, Eddie, Kobe, and Shaq, but eventually things worked out with the Diesel and he got 3 rings in LA.

To sum things up, even though I hate the fact that Shaq is now with the enemy, I can only say that he did wonderful things for the Laker franchise. And I guess I can say, we had em when he was good and pure. Now the other team can have what's left of him. We had the diesel gas, now he's just gas after eating beans.
